As always our week ended very positively with our assembly earlier where we learned about many nice things that happened throughout the past week in and around our school. We learned how many of our older students continue to a great example to/for our younger students and in particular taking great care of them in the yard. As always we heard of students who are making great strides and of those who perform each week consistently well.

As Maths week continued we had a great debate as to how we can find Maths all around us in our lives and received wonderful examples from students in all our classes. We commended the students on their excellent behaviour and participation with the Children of the Eucharist programme, the Ireland Eye Study, Cumann na mBunscol ‘Mini 7’s and of course Maths Week.
To conclude as always our teachers presented their ‘students of the week’ awards. For some it was a week of firsts that we were all are so proud to learn of, while others were rewarded for working very hard, sharing, showing patience and kindness while being well behaved and in great form!

We heard that some students have learned to wait their turn when answering questions and others who in the past loved to talk/chat have become more patient and understanding. One of our students this week has also displayed a very positive attitude to ‘Gaeilge’ and has made great progress in recent times setting the bar very high in their classroom.

Well done to all the students chosen this week, we’re really proud of the great effort you’ve made. Maith sibh!

Finally assembly concluded with the nomination of the new members of our Student Council. We wish all the boys and girls well who were elected from the respective classrooms.

See you all later at our Halloween Disco!
