Our Senior Class participated in and displayed their excellent Junior Entrepreneur ‘Don’t Judge Project’ earlier today at the County Showcase at the McWilliam Park Hotel Claremorris.
This was a fantastic opportunity for the children to not alone present and share their experiences but also to view and appreciate the wonderful work of the other participating schools.
We had an early start to coincide with the Tommy Marren Show on Mid West Radio. We were delighted to share our experiences with him and also to speak live on radio!
The showcase was then formally launched by the programme co-ordinator Frank Salmon of C.M.S. Distribution who’s company have so kindly sponsored and championed this wonderful initiative here in Mayo. Frank’s story related back to when he was a child and first became interested in business. He passed on excellent advice to all the children, key messages that should remain with each of them long after this project concludes.
Each of the schools presented their projects to all of the children, teachers and invited guests. Our representatives did us proud, showing great confidence and belief in our project and what we achieved. We were so proud of their presentation.
Mayo team members Andy Moran, Donal Vaughan and Brendan Harrison concluded the Showcase Day with some inspirational words of their own. This while referencing the important messages of our project of which we were very proud! Young and old were really captivated by their positivity and approach to life. The children are sure to have taken so much from this opportunity.
A special word of thanks to all at C.M.S Distribution in Kiltimagh for their very generous sponsorship of this fantastic project. We were thrilled to be part of it. Thank you also to Ms.McDonagh, Mr Clarke, Ms.Henry and Mrs Sweeney for all their help, assistance and hard work with this programme. All the boys and girls in Rang 5/6 sincerely appreciate it.
Finally thank you sincerely to all who who generously supported our project on Friday morning last, it would have not been a success without you. Our project will conclude on Friday 2nd June when we will have a whole school student ‘ Don’t Judge Day’. We look forward to a great end to our project!
Míle buíochas!
